You will notice some white areas around the edge of some of the shapes within this Swedish camouflage print – normally all the shapes should line up, leaving no white lines. This is due to misprinting in the manufacture stage. The design is screen printed on rollers so at the beginning of the printing process it takes time for each roller (one for each colour) to line up and print in unison. This misprinted wastage can be as much as 10% of the fabric. This wasted fabric can be used for pocket bags and linings where it cannot be seen. Although an inefficient process,┬áin this context it looks quite interesting and works well within contemporary menswear ,where the Swedish design has always been desirable.
